Tips to get more backlinks

I’ve previously posted different tips to get backlinks. In this post I would like to discuss more options to people interested in gaining more backlinks. Most people often pay in order to get backlinks but after reading these tips you won’t have to.

This entry contains some very good and powerful tips to increase your backlinks dramatically, and I am more than sure that they will help you out.

High Ranking Edu Pages
Edu pages are websites owned by Education agencies, mostly schools and universities. Some people find it very had to get a backlink from them seeing as they are more professional than your average webmaster.

A while ago I wrote a post about a method of getting more links from Edu pages. I have seen many people trying to sell Edu links in Digital Point and making a lot of money out of it. I find that to be a scam seeing as you can very easily get backlinks from Edu pages.

Here are some ways to get backlinks from them:

-Follow my Google method.
-E-mail the webmaster and politely ask him to give you a backlink.
-Try to write an article that relates to what their website is about, if they like it they might link to you.
-Contact some of the students and ask them to place links on their forum’s signatures.
Theme Sponsoring
If you are a blogger you must have noticed that little link most free themes come with. Those links can’t be removed because they came with the theme and the theme owner prohibits you to remove them and if you do remove them you might find yourself in some legal trouble.

Theme sponsoring is one of the best ways to get backlinks because you’ll get a backlink on all the pages of a blogger’s website. So if a blogger has 300 pages, you’ll have 300 backlinks with almost no effort at all.

Most theme sponsoring prices range from $50 dollars to $300+ dollars, you should only consider this method if you have a fat wallet and if you believe that the theme will get a lot of attention.
Pbwiki
I recently found out about this method by an e-mail that I received and it left me stunned because you could get backlinks from PR6 pages with no effort at all.

All you need to do is go to Google and search for “site:pbwiki.com the password” you’ll then see many pages and the pages will display the passwords to edit the pages. After that you simply click on the pages and click on edit, and you add a small backlink to your site, and you’ll give yourself a high ranking backlink.

I’m more than sure that it’s illegal to edit other people’s pages so do so at your own risk.
Sponsoring contests
This method is heavily exploited by bloggers with fat wallets. The method is fairly simple, all you need to do is e-mail a blog owner and tell them that you are interested in sponsoring one of their contests, as long as you get backlink you’ll notice that the bloggers response will be yes, seeing as free stuff is always good.

When you try this out make sure that it’s a fairly popular blog, and make sure that the prize you are giving away is worth people’s time.

The way that you get backlinks with this method is that you ask the owner of the blog to tell the contestants to make a post in their respective blogs in order to get a bigger chance at winning. The contestants will rush to their blogs and give you a backlink.
Guest posts
This is something not many people do, and when done properly it can bring a ton of traffic as well as backlinks.

What you do here is fairly simple. You submit an article to different blogs and you ask the owner of the blog to link to you. When you do so, you’ll get a backlink and if people like your article they might even become regular members at your own blog.

I really haven’t tried this method much but I am planning on submitting a lot of guest posts for the rest of the month of July.

I try to get the majority of my links from people who want to link to me and the articles I write. But besides those I think commenting on other blogs as well as guest posts are always good ways to build the linkbacks.

Would you ever use an automated tool to identify backlink candidates? It’s not link harvesting, just a way for you to enter in content or use your existing content to find backlink candidates.

We’re soliciting testers for a tool that does the above and then provides you a way to send a (custom) email to secure the link.

The email bits is the part on which I’m looking for feedback – will it work?

Although sadly I can’t participate because I currently do not have the time as I’m doing a lot of side work.
