Have you noticed all the John Chow blogs popping up? I find it funny that he has so many clones. There are so many blogs about it, his name should be considered a niche.

There are way too many, so many that I don’t think they even deserve a backlink. One of the most famous John Chow clones is JohnCow.com, there are rumors that the owner tryes to sell his domain for very high prices in forums like Site Point just to get attention and traffic to his blog, it’s like me trying to sell this blog for 5k, it’s not gonna happen.

Apparently the keyword “John Chow” is used a lot because I don’t see any other reason as to why make a blog named after John Chow when you have absolutely no affiliation with him.

So is John Chow profitable? I don’t know… but I might open a blogger test account completely devoted to John Chow. Let’s see how much traffic I get from it.

Maybe I should start the Darren Rowse niche, or the Shoemoney niche. How about naming my domain Sockmoney.com, or DarrelRose.com?
