As you might have read in my previous post, we got hacked.
I spent a lot of time talking to my host trying to find the problem, they were very nice and were with me the whole time, so props to them, but… I found the malicious code on my own, apparently is some Russian hacker with a Website that I will personally report to his host for Illegal Intentions.
The code that I found, explodes some Javascript function or something like that… but Anyway the point is, the code is inserted in my site, it opens a frame in my website and that frame loads up try-count.net or whatever the hacker’s website is. The Hacker’s website contains a code that exploits another Javascript function that encrypts Javascript so a human won’t easily read it, while a browser will still read it like a normal Javascript code. After that, Javascript opens up a DirectX window and a Java window… they both try to install Spyware and other junk on your computer.
The hack only works with Internet Explorer as far as I know… if you have Firefox it will just make the site load slowly.
If you have visited the site this week and you have noticed something wrong while loading the site, then PLEASE scan your computer for Spyware and any Possible viruses that might have gotten in while you were browsing the site.
My sincere apologies to everyone that has been affected by this hacker, and I would like to let everyone know that my host is currently working on deleting all trace of the malicious code from my directory files. We still don’t know how he got in but it might have been during my WordPress 2.5 update.
