Talk about Self esteem. Ian Usher is selling his life he states, “I have had enough of my life! I don’t want it any more! You can have it if you like!”.
You know what I find funny is that, let’s say I got around $500,000 dollars and ended up buying it, by buying “His life” wouldn’t I end up paying myself…? You know once his life is bought? Or what if it’s sold to like some Secret cult? Kinda reminds you of that exorcist movie.
Ian’s website brings up a whole new idea to affiliate marketing. Bloggers can now start auctioning their lives and gaining attention to their affiliate programs. They can also end up getting plenty of Subscribers. How about someone making a brand new website with the “Sell my life” niche and filling it up with Adsense ads? That’ll bring a few clicks.
Apparently Ian is tired of his life since his breakup with his former wife. They were married 12 years and that left him heartbroken. I feel bad for Ian and even though divorces suck, people go through them and eventually get over them… selling your life is just whacky.
He ends his about page by writing “Or maybe, as a couple of friends have suggested, I am just having some sort of mid-life crisis!” so I’m willing to bet that in the end he is just going to say that the deal is off and that it’s just a mid life crisis and he doesn’t want to sell it anymore.
If you look at the Digg article, there are some pretty hilarious comments my favorite one is “On a related note: US government auctions country.”
Here is the sale.
