Today I was bored and decided to do an interview to one of 3ix’s representatives, as some of you know, 3ix offers very really cheap hosting, as low as $1 dollar.
Here is how the interview went.

germz: So if Google.com were to move to your hosting you’d support it?

germz: Let’s say google.com, would you be able to support all that bandwidth?

germz: Or say digitalpoint.com

germz: Or digg.com

germz: Because i’ve read a lot of reviews that say that you guys freeze all accounts that use too much bandwidth

Help24×7: yes, it is correct

germz: You freeze people for too much bandwidth?

germz: If so, then why does it say “Unlimited”?

Help24×7: we have shared server environment if any account causes load on the server then we take a action

germz: So it’s a lie?

germz: Why don’t you just have that in the “buy hosting section”? Because it would really suck to waste $8 dollars a month to get very little hosting when there are other hosting companies such as hostgator that offer hosting for less… sory If I’m being too blunt, I’m doing this for an interview.

I’ve had problems with this company many times.
I also had a problem when I first got this website, I installed SMF (Simple Machines Forum) and the server didn’t support a certain type of file, so I had to be moved to another server, that server cause WAY too many problems, like slow loading of my site, and then I asked to be moved to a new server, when that happened I finally got a little more spee and then this website went down various times and they fix it and then the problem came back again, finally I had to write a very rude letter to them to finally have them fix it, and now the problem is gone.

What I do l like about the site is that they have an excellent customer support service, but that’s not so great if they won’t do anything about it Unless you send rude letters to them. I had to talk to customer service for about 3 weeks 4 times a day just to get them to fix my site, and The answer that I would get all the time was “It’s your browser or ISP”…. but I had readers mailing me that the site was down.

So you be the judge, will it be just to waste 8 dollars a month and risk getting frozen? Or is it better to go to hostgator.com and get their much better hosting plan?
