Java’s JavaFX
JavaFX, is a RIA (Rich internet Application) tool. It will allow you to create incredible Internet applications, that supposedly are supposed to work both in Firefox and in Internet Explorer, which is a common programmer’s headache.
I don’t think I need write the Intro on this as the Java writers did a good job on it, here is how it works.
JavaFX is a family of products for creating rich internet applications (RIAs) with immersive media and content across the multiple screens of your life. It includes a runtime and a tools suite that web scripters, designers, and developers can use to quickly build and deliver the next generation of rich Internet applications for desktop, mobile devices, TV, and other platforms. JavaFX tools suite will offer developer and authoring tools that bridge the gap between user experience design and development logic, giving designers and developers unprecedented collaboration opportunities.
The great JavaFX language will offer animation, interactivity and programming consistent with Adobe’s Flash and Microsoft’s Silverlight technology. JavaFX will use the Java runtimes installed on your pc, rather than Javascript.
Like Adobe Flash, JavaFX is intended to provide great interactivity in both browsers for PCs and mobile devices.
JavaFX’s developers intend to have the PC desktops version finished by this fall, followed by a version for mobile devices in the spring of 2009. At the current moment only a beta version is available for download to the public.
