Google to Compete with Mybloglog

I just checked out this great Idea Google has, it’s called the Google Friend Connect. There isn’t much information on it, but supposedly it will allow you to interact more with your friends and visitors that have a Social Networking Site account, preferably Facebook and Orkut.

The reason why The title of this post is “Google to compete with Mybloglog” is because Mybloglog does the same thing, the only difference is that their Widget only works with people that have a Mybloglog account. Google’s widget is supposed to work with most types of Social Networking Sites, and as we all know more people have Social Networking site accounts from places such as Myspace and Facebook, than they have an account at Mybloglog.com.

Google Friend Connect will allow your visitors to invite their friends and their contacts to come to your site using their Social Networking Sites account.

So if you want a lot of visitors you better start stacking up on your friends list count.

If you are planning on joining, then you better do it fast because they are currently under beta testing and are only allowing a few selected webmasters to use it. Soon, the program will be open for everyone to use, but as for now you can only join by being approved first.
