Lather, rinse, repeat.

As previously posted, I tried to gain a lot of attention in both Digg and Twitter, and my plan worked perfectly.

I started by going to Digg and Digging every new submitted article that I could see, I then opened up all the profiles of the people that submitted the articles and started adding them as my friends. I waited a couple of hours for them to accept my invitation and become my mutual friends, then I started getting plenty of fans. Then I repeated the whole step, it took me about 25 minutes to get about 140 friends and a couple of fans. And I ended with 89 unique visitors from Digg.

After seeing that this method worked, I went over to twitter and typed in a certain keyword, I got tons of results from people that use that keyword and I started adding them as my friends, that only took me 15 minutes and I ended up following 194 people and ended up with 12 followers. Not as good as Digg but it only took me 15 minutes. And ended up getting about 50 unique visitors from Twitter.

Now that I know that this method for getting attention to your site works all I need to do is repeat it daily and the more friends on these social networks that I have, the more traffic I’ll get. I can try and do this method on many social bookmarking sites and end up with a lot of traffic daily without wasting money advertising my site.

I’ll have to try this. You will have to let us know how this effects the next post that you try to digg.

This technique was started recently by me also as a Digger. I’ve been applied to Digg since 4/2006 but never really took advantage of it. Now things are really rolling.
